Eloy E. Gurule

Eloy E. Gurule, 94, of Taos passed away on November 26, 2008. He was a longtime business owner of Your Home Food Store, former school board member, worked at First State Bank and he was a lifetime member of the VFW. He was an army veteran, serving in the European theatre during WWII. He is preceded in death by his parents, Gabriel and Theodora Gurule, wife, Mary Gurule and daughter, Sandra Carroll. He is survived by his son, Joseph E. Gurule (Linda) of Jacksonville, Florida, granddaughter, Laura Jean Gurule and several nieces and nephews. Rosary was recited on December 2, 2008 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. Funeral mass was held on December 3, 2008 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. Interment followed at the Sierra Vista Cemetery.
