Eloy Manzanares

Eloy Andres Manzanares "Saca", of Albuquerque, NM passed away peacefully surrounded by his Daughter and Grandchildren and his beloved pet Rico “My Boy” on Thursday, October 7th, 2021 after a long and difficult battle with cancer. Just like he dealt with all experiences in life, Eloy managed his illness with strength and grace.

Eloy was born on January 30th, 1953 to Maria Claudina Manzanares in Espanola, NM. A graduate of Espanola High School in 1971, Eloy was a Star Basketball Player and Leader of his class. After High school he went on to Attend NM Highlands University. Later to become a licensed Electrician to launch his own Successful Electrical Business, Alpha Electric LLC. Throughout his career, he formed many successful relationships and left a lasting impact. 

Eloy was a force of nature, determined to provide for his family and give them the life he felt they deserved. Anyone who knew Eloy knew that he was the most loving Father to his Daughter, Justina and Grandfather to his Grandchildren that a family could ask for. I always told my Dad he was the strongest Man I’ve known and that he was and always would be my “Hero”. He was a generous and kind man who would give anyone in need a helping hand. Eloy personified loyalty and friendship, he gave and loved with his whole heart and was loved by so many. All who were fortunate enough to call him a “friend” will love and miss him forever. 

Eloy was predeceased by his Mother Maria Claudina Manzanares and his Maternal Grandparents Enrique and Estefanita Manzanares.

Eloy is survived by his daughter, Justina Claudina Trujillo; beloved Grandchildren, Brianna Mia Lucero, Jordan Andres Trujillo, Elijah David Trujillo and Jaiden Daniel Gutierrez. Great-Grandchildren; Natalia Chanel Alanis and Azrael Driscoll and Siblings; Henry Lopez, Judy Manzanares, Joanna Salsberry and Whom he considered a brother Jose (Coco) Archuleta and Wife Patsy Archuleta.

Rosary and Mass to be recited on Thursday, October 21st, 2021 at 11:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Espanola, NM. With a burial to follow at San Antonio Cemetery in Medenales, NM.

Eloy's family shared a special time with one another as they blessed Eloy and lit candles while cherishing favorite moments and thanking him for all the wonderful ways he impacted their lives. The Family would like to thank all those who attended and contributed to making it a touching ceremony. Please note this was on Wednesday, October 13, 2021.
