Elsie Lopez

October 5, 1933 — July 20, 2021

Our Lord took our beloved mother Elsie Lopez home on Tuesday, July 20, 2021.

She is preceded in death by her husband Joe Lopez, her parents Prudencio

and Ramona Quintana / Cleto and Eloisa Royal, son Adrian Quintana,  brothers Benny, Amador, and Al Quintana.  She is survived by her daughters Irma (Sam), Elaine (Melvin), Brenda (Eddy Roy), Phyllis (Steve), Amy (Henry), daughter-in-law 

Rosie (Adrian), sisters Della (Cleofes), Annabelle (Fred), brother Noberto (Celina),

brother-in-law Willie Lopez, several nieces and nephews and of course her grandchildren. With 5 generations, Elsie’s  grandkids were her pride and joy. Elsie worked for the Pecos Schools as Head Cook most of her life.  She was known for her delicious cooking, especially her donuts and cinnamon rolls.  She was also a proud  member of several organizations at St. Anthony’s Church. Her very special friends were Mary Quintana, Pauline Pino, and Balbie Armijo.  Serving as pallbearers: Joe Henry Jr., Darren, Joshua, Derek, Eddie Jr., Adrian Jr., Issac, Zachary, Jasper, and Bobby;  Honorary: Joe Henry III, Fred, Kianna, Gemma, Jayna, Emma, Veronica, Amaaziah, Analeiya, Anastasia, and Ambrose. 

 

Services are as follows:  Wednesday, July 28, 2021 -3:00 to 6:00 pm - Viewing and Rosary (Rivera’s Funeral

Home)       Thursday, July 29, 2021 - 10:00 am - Viewing, Rosary, and Mass (St. Anthony’s Church)  Burial to follow at Pecos Cemetery.   Mom will be greatly missed.  Our hearts are breaking but her memory will live on forever.
