Elyssa Quintana

Elyssa M. Quintana, 15, passed away on August 17, 2021. She was born on October 16, 2005 in Santa Fe, NM to Shannon and Edwin Quintana.

She is preceded in death by her great grandparents; Margaret and Miramon Garduno, Agnes and William Mayer, Isabel and Esperdion Quintana, Max and Sophie Ulibarri and dear family friend; Isaac Jaramillo.

She is survived by her mother; Shannon Quintana, father; Edwin Quintana, sister; Eliana Quintana, grandparents; Virginia Garduno, Robert and Pam Quintana, Richard and Mary Ulibarri and many aunts, uncles and cousins   

Our beautiful and kind-hearted daughter, Elyssa, was called to be with the Lord on August 17, 2021. This vibrant sophomore at Santa Fe High School had the biggest heart and gave of herself to anyone in need. She had just started her first job at Dion’s Pizza, where her good work ethic and positivity had a positive impact. Elyssa was an avid sports fan, and with due influence from her family, she was a Denver Broncos fan. Elyssaloved to listen to music. She was funny and always knew how to break the awkward silence in the room. She had a very unique outlook on the world and what she wanted from it. Although short, Elyssa’s life was full of wonderful, hilarious and beautiful memories with her friends and family.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at 5:00 p.m. at Rivera Kiva Chapel of Light located at 417 East Rodeo Rd. A Rosary will be recited on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at Cristo Rey Catholic Church at 7:00pm. Mass will be celebrated Thursday, August 26, 2021 at Cristo Rey Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. with internment to follow the mass.
