Emilia Martinez

Emilia M. Martinez, age 84, a resident of Costilla and formerly of Denver, CO and Holman passed away on Wednesday, July 7, 2010. She was born in Holman on October 10, 1925 to the late Eloy and Endelesia Medina. She was a lifelong Catholic. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Elias Martinez, brothers, Rubel and Porifiro Medina and sisters in law, Celina Medina and Rebecca Vasquez. She is survived by her sons, Alex Medina and Cilia from Holman, Serado Martinez, Toby Martinez and wife, Cathy from Denver, CO, Johnny Medina and wife, Valerie from Colorado Springs, CO, daughters, Ruby Duran and husband, Donald from Costilla and Eloida Vigil and husband, Richard which she considered her as her own daughter, also she is survived by 20 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Rosary was recited on July 11, 2010. Funeral services were held on July 12, 2010. Both services were held at St. Gertrude Church in Mora. Father James was celebrant. Interment was held at the San Isidro Cemetery in Holman.
