Emma Gomez

Emma V. Gomez, 86, of Taos passed away on June 12, 2018. She retired as a bookkeeper from the Taos Municipal Schools. Emma was a life time member of the Ranchos Presbyterian Church. She was a foster grandparent and senior companion. She is preceded in death by her husband, Tony S. Gomez, parents, Andres and Jesusita Valerio, brothers, Elizardo, Telesfor, Clodoveo, Teodoro and Horacio Valerio, sisters, Eliria Romero, Adelina Mondragon and Jessie Sanchez. She is survived by her son, Michael Gomez (Rosalie) of Taos and daughter, Anna Gomez of Albuquerque, brother, Eloy Valerio (Joanna), grandchildren, Kenneth Cintas, Antonio Gomez, Victoria Gomez and Andrew Cintas, nephews and nieces who were like her own children, Angie Jeantete, Gloria Mondragon, Frank “Pancho” Mondragon, Esther Chavez, Jimmy Mondragon and their families, many other relatives and friends. Services were held on Sunday, June 17, 2018 at Rivera Chapel in Taos. Funeral service was held on Monday, June 18, 2018 at the Ranchos Presbyterian Church. Interment will be held on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at 10:30 AM at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Ranchos Presbyterian Church, P.O.
