Emma S. Lyon

Emma S Lyon, a resident of Santa Fe, passed away at home December 17, 2018. Emma, age 102, is survived by her sons, Richard Buffum and Bradford Lyon, her daughter, Sarah Lyon, and grandchildren, Carol Czanowski (Peter), Cheryl Kelso, Scott Buffum, Angela Lyon (Michael Miller), and Wesley Plimpton (Robyn), and numerous great, great great, and great great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman W Lyon, Jr., and sons, Raymond Buffum, Bill Lyon, and John Lyon, four grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. Emma worked at Stanley Home Products in Massachusetts and as a teacher’s aide and substitute teacher for Los Alamos schools. During her years in Los Alamos she was a member of United Methodist Women and the Garden Club. She was a long time member of DAR, Eastern Star, and TOPS. A private memorial will take place at a future date. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to a charity of your choice.
