He enjoyed listening to basketball games on the radio or attending basketball games in person with family whenever he had a chance.
He enjoyed outdoor activities like vegetable gardening during the growing seasons, taking the time to teach young family members the ins and outs of vegetable gardening and sharing the fruits of his hard work with family and friends. He enjoyed fishing and hunting trips with family. He enjoyed foraging in the forest for pinion nuts when in season and wood cutting trips for firewood with family as cold weather season approached.
He took the time to explain and teach the sport of basketball to younger family members who wanted to learn. He also availed himself to help young family members in their homework/ studies espacially in the field arithmetic/math as he was pretty sharp at it. He was not only a Brother and an Uncle but was looked up to as a "fatherly figure type" to many. He thoroughly enjoyed conversations and visits with family and friends. Oh......cannot forgot the "Casinos". Everyone, including him, liked doing some handle pullin' and button pushin' at them confounded money taking traps.
Also need to mention he was VERY good at making tortillas. He enjoyed helping others with whatever needed tending to whenever asked without complain. He was his own person. He expressed kindness, his way. He helped out, his way. He did it his way and for that he will never be forgotten.
