Erica Dixon

Erica "Sonya" Dixon was born on May 10, 1989 in Espanola, NM to her father Ricky Dixon and her mother Darlene Archuleta. She passed away on April 6, 2022 in Espanola, NM and was 32 Years old. 

She is preceded in death by her daughters father Daniel Godina, her brother Ricky Dixon, her grandfather Jose “Urban” Archuleta and grandmother Agueda “Aggie” Salazar-Archuleta, and her grandmother Carmen Sisneros Dixon, uncles Steve and Gerald Talamante. 

She is survived by her father Ricky Dixon, her loving mother Darlene Archuleta, her companion Fabian Pacheco, grandfather Manuel R. Dixon, her daughter Jenae Godina, brother Frankie Dixon and sister in law Melinda Dixon, godson Damien Dixon, sister in law Tamara Martinez, her aunts Shirley Gurule, Grace Lopez, Linda Sisneros, Natasha Decosta, Virginia (Lorena) Espinoza, and Rosemary Urbina (Leo), her uncles Anthony Dixon (Vanessa), Roland Dixon (Arlene), and Dino Dixon, her aunt Sandra Archuleta Martinez (Lorenzo), along with many other relatives and friends.

Sonya was a caretaker and took care of her mother Darlene. Sonya was a mother to her beautiful daughter Jenae, who she loved dearly. She had a great sense of humor and had such a great laugh. Most of her family and friends called her by her middle name, Sonya. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. 

A viewing will be held at Rivera Family Funeral Home in Espanola on April 23, 2022 with a viewing at 5:30 PM. Rosary will be at 6:00 PM followed by some lovely music.
