Eric David Chacon

Eric David Chacon, Age 35, a lifelong resident of El Rito, NM, born in June 1980, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 2, 2015, with his family by his side. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Prudencio & Annie Chacon, and Ernestino & Mabel Suazo; aunts and uncles, Connie & Ray Lucero, Prescilla Gaviria, Joan Chacon, and Richard & Andrew Suazo; cousins, Sam Chacon, Fernando Herrera, Steven Chacon and Orly Ortiz. May they all rest in peace. He is survived by his fiancée, Jennifer Palomares; his five sons: Joaquin, Mario, Jose, Marcos and Jerod Chacon; his parents, Tila Chacon and David Suazo; brother, James and fiancée, Selina Suazo and their son James, Jr.; sister, Jennifer Suazo; Confirmation God Parent, Julian Suazo; all of El Rito, NM, and Baptismal God Parents, Fedelino & Tonita Chacon of Alcalde, NM. He is also survived by many uncles, aunts, cousins and friends, too numerous to mention. Serving the family as Pallbearers were: Jose & Andrew Palomares, Eric Valdez, Bobby Chacon, Vicente Herrera, and Pete Paniauga; and Honorary Pallbearers were, Devlin & Dion Palomares, Kaleb, Hezekiah & Joseph Martinez, Viola Baca, Kraig Paul Allander and Jacob Martinez. He enjoyed fishing and camping and many other outdoor activities. Public visitation took place on Sunday, December 6, 2015, at the San Juan de Nepomuceno Catholic Church in El Rito, followed by a Rosary. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Monday, December 7, 2015, also at the San Juan de Nepomuceno Catholic Church. Interment took place following the mass at the El Rito Community Cemetery.
