Ernesta Maestas

Ernesta Maestas, 88, of Taos was carried away by angels on June 2, 2022.  She is predeceased by her husband, Ben Maestas, her parents, Antonio Varos and Maclovia Medina Varos; her son, John Maestas; and all 9 of her brothers and sisters.  She is survived by her daughters, Jayne (Jimmy) Trujillo, Bea Vigil and Virginia (Anthony) Medina; 8 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great granddaughters and her only surviving sister in law, Delia Varos. Ernesta loved God and her faith carried her in her daily life. Her kindness and generosity will be remembered by so many people whose lives she touched.

Visitation will be held on Sunday June 5, 2022 at 5:30 PM at Canon Brethren Church.  Funeral service will be held on Monday June 06, 2022 at 11 AM at the Canon Brethren Church.   Interment will be held on Tuesday, June 07, 2022 at 9:30 AM at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.
