Ernesto Herrera

Ernesto L. Herrera, 30 a resident of El Rancho went home to be with our Lord on April 24, 2023. He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman.  He was preceded in death by his Mother Deborah M. Herrera, paternal grandparents Juan and Sophie Herrera, maternal grandparents Abner and Dorothy Schreiber.

He is survived by his wife Magaly, Tommy Herrera, (Grace) Father, Samuel Herrera, brother, Eva Roybal, Shirley Roybal (Lenny) Matty Perez (David), and Valerie Herrera, Aunts; Steven Herrera (Virginia), Edward Herrera (Monique) Uncles. Minerva Mendoza and Manual Veleta, parent-in-laws Noehly, Cristal, Anahy, and Jasmin (Joseph Nava) Veleta, sisters-in-laws, Godfather Ben Garcia, and Special friends Mike Garcia and Juanito Valdez.

Ernesto was one of kind he made a positive impact on everyone he met.  He lived life to the fullest and was always up for an adventure. He was an amazing person with a heart of gold.  He was a wonderful husband, son, brother, nephew, cousin, friend, and godson. Known to his nieces and nephews as Uncle Daddy. He is with his beautiful Mother as she welcomed him into heaven on her birthday as we saw the most beautiful and brightest double rainbows on that day.  He will be deeply missed by all who were lucky enough to have known him.

A Rosary will be prayed by Los Hermanos de la Santisma Trinida de El Rancho ye Santa Cruz which he was a member, on Tuesday May 16, 2023 at 9:00 am at Nuestra Senora de Guadalupe Church, Pojoaque, NM. Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am.  A private burial will be held at a later date.

Honoring the family as Pallbearers are: Mike Garcia, Juanito Valdez, James Villareal, Carlos Vigil, Francisco Visarraga, and Brandon Edwards. Honorary Pallbearers are: Nick Castanon, John Paul Herrera, and Matt Gutierrez
