Ernesto Mondragon 74, of Canon, born November 18, 1933, passed away on March 3, 2008. He was employed by Moly Corp for fifteen years, he also served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict war and was released with an honorable discharge. He is preceded in death by his father, Jose Olmedo Mondragon, mother, Polly Mondragon, brothers, Carlos Mondragon and Steve Mondragon, sisters, Gloria Mondragon , Theresa Mondragon and Lily Peck, granddaughter, Demi Candelaria. He is survived by his wife, Dolores Mondragon, children, Pauline Espinoza (Mark) of Albuquerque, NM., Roberta Barela (Tony) of Talpa, Diana Suazo (Robert) of Albuquerque, Michael Mondragon (Annette) of West Jordan, Utah, Carmen Candelaria (Demis) of West Jordan, Utah, Raymond Mondragon of Magna, Utah, Diana Keating (Patrick) of South Jordan, Utah, brother, Candido Mondragon (Addie) of Ranchos de Taos, Anthony Mondragon (Loretta) of Ranchos De Taos, Arturo Mondragon of Taos. He is also survived by his sisters, Margaret Blea, of Colorado Springs, CO., Oteila Vigil (Reggie) of Taos, eighteen grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
The Family would like to thank their friends and family for their thoughts and prayers and for everyone who made the trip to the Veterans Hospital in Albuquerque to visit with him.
Rosary was be recited on March 6, 2008. Funeral mass was held on March 7, 2008. Both services were held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Taos. Interment was held at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.
