Ernest Sutliff

Ernest Glenn Sutliff was born in 1953 in Glens Falls, New York and grew up in Corinth, New York. He passed away on May 25th, 2016 at his home in Eagle Nest, New Mexico. Ernie is preceded in death by his parents Ernest Leslie and Betty Jane Sutliff. Ernie is survived by his loving wife Starr Sutliff of Eagle Nest, his adoring son Ernest Glenn Sutliff Jr. and his wife Tanaya of Albuquerque. He is also survived by his sisters Sally Hudson, Jill Wilkins and her husband Robert; Julie Pasmik and her husband John; Jean Sutliff; brothers and sisters in-law Mike and Linda King, Ann and Larry Woodward as well as many nieces and nephews. Ernie was the Eagle Nest Lake fishing legend with a passion for hunting and the outdoors. Ernie never met a fish he couldn't catch. He was adored by so many and if you were one of the lucky ones he would take you fishing, he might even let you catch one. Ernie spent time working for Angle Fire Resort, the Village of Eagle Nest, and retired after twelve years with the NMDOT keeping the Moreno Valley roads clear of snow. There are so many people who loved Ernie that to list them all would be impossible. His smile, quick whit and charm will be unforgettable and irreplaceable.
