Estefanita Gurule

Estefanita Gurule, 83, of Penasco passed away on July 26, 2009. She was a very prayerful woman and had a great devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. She was a longtime teacher in the Penasco School District and retired in 1987. She supervised the Bilingual Education Department, the Migrant Program and worked for many years with Reading & Special Education. She is preceded in death by her husband, Epifanio Gurule. She is survived by her daughter, Angela Gurule and grandson, Seth Gurule-Romero and several cousins whom she considered her brothers and sisters. Rosary was recited on July 28, 2009. Funeral mass was held on July 29, 2009. Both services were held at San Antonio de Padua Church. Interment was held at the San Antonio de Padua (Morada) Cemetery.
