Esther Miera

Esther Miera, 89, passed peacefully into her Heavenly Fathers care on February 6, 2010, after courageously enduring a lengthy illness. She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She was preceded in death by her parents Feliberto and Eufrosina Montoya; three infant children: Pilar, Roberto and Joseph Miera, siblings: Eloy Montoya, Ernesto Montoya, Frank Montoya, Lucinda Zurowski, Eduardo Montoya, Agustin Montoya, Cecilia Santistevan and infant Ernesto Montoya. She is survived by her sweet, devoted, eternal husband of 70 years, Filadelfio A. Miera, 4 sons: LeRoy (Julie), Paul (Kim), Joe Anthony, and John (Linda), 9 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren, 4 sisters: Odilia Martinez, (Phil), Lydia Salazar, Isabel Trujillo (George) and Molly Mondragon (Pat) and many other beloved friends and relatives. Public viewing will be held from 9:00 to 10:30 am on Saturday February 13th, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (307 Camino de Santiago in Taos) with burial to follow at the Miera Family Cemetery on Paseo del Pueblo Norte.
