Eufelia Martinez

On March 22 2019 heaven gained an angel. Eufelia Martinez age 105 passed away peacefully surrounded by her large and loving family. Eufelia was born 7-1-1913 to Juan L. Montoya and Reyecitas Montoya in La Madera, New Mexico. On October 3, 1933 she married Jose B. Martinez and together raised 4 sons and 4 daughters. Eufelia loved caring for her large family. She enjoyed gardening, making quilts, visiting with her many grandchildren and going out to eat. In her kitchen you would always find a hot pot of coffee and her favorite food Beans. Eufelia was preceded in death by her father and mother, Juan and Reyecitas Montoya her husband J.B Martinez, her son Juan Lorenzo Martinez and her brothers and sisters . She is survived by her brother Robert Montoya Sr. Sons: Tino (Velma), Alonzo (Josie), Ben (Balvina). Daughters: Crestina (Walter) Gloria (Elevi-deceased), Tita (Joe) and Joann, 26 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren and 43 great great grandchildren. Rosary will be at 7pm at the Llanito Oratorio on 4-1-19. Mass is to be celebrated at 10am at the Oratorio on 4-2-19. Interment will follow and is at 2:15 pm at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. Pallbearers –Randy Martinez, Michael Martinez, Walter Valdez, Steve Gurule, Jonathon Valdez and David Valdez. Honorary pallbearers- Brian Martinez, Melissa Gurule, Melinda Lucero and all Her grandchildren.
