Eugenio Rael

Eugenio Rael, 91, of Taos and formerly of Questa passed away on November 30, 2005. He was an educator at the Questa school system and also taught veterans cabinet making after WWII. He was also a general contractor and later returned to his first love of making Spanish colonial furniture. He was an outstanding artisan and he has three pieces at the NM State Capital which include a banco and two armchairs. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Cecilia Cisneros Rael, son, Bobby Rael, brothers, Moises, Juan Benito, Elirio and Malaquias Rael, granddaughter, Loretta Valdez. He is survived by his wife, Cecilia Vigil Rael, children, Anita Valdez, Dianna Rael-Apodaca (Leroy), Martha Rael Nimon (Manuel), Jean Rael, Ruben Rael (Patricia), stepchildren, Diana Candelaria, Frances Montoya (Eloyed), David Fresquez (Rita), sisters, Priscilla Galliour (John) and Lila Rodriquez (Bialquin), 20 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and many other relatives. Rosary will be recited on Friday, December 02, 2005 at 7 PM at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Questa. Funeral mass will be held on Saturday, December 03, 2005 at 11 AM at St. Anthony Church with interment to follow at San Pedro Cemetery.
