Eulogio Serrano, 90 years old, passed away on May 21st at the VA Hospital in Albuquerque, surrounded by his family. Mr. Serrano was born March 8, 1919 in El Vado, NM to the late Enrique and Higinia Serrano. Eulogio was a resident of Albuquerque, N.M. and previously lived in Espanola and Los Alamos areas. He worked for the forest service for 6 years and served in World War II from 1943 to 1946. While serving in the military Mr. Serrano was honored with several military awards. Soon after he went to work at The Los Alamos National Laboratory where he retired after 30 years, while also raising cattle. Mr. Serrano loved the mountains enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and camping with his family. Eulogio is survived by his wife of 65 years, Lugarda Serrano; son Victor Serrano and wife Janet of Rio Rancho, daughters; Antonette Schuck of San Pedro, N.M., Virginia Hargar and husband Steve of Caldwell, Idaho., Rita Singelton of Denver, C.O., Dolores Netucel and husband Tim of Los Alamos, N.M., brother; Cristobal Serrano of Youngsville, N.M., sisters; Higinia Gore and husband Bob of Albuquerque, N.M., and Ceclia Ulibarri and husband Ernesto of White Rock, N.M.; brother-in-law Joe N. Vigil of Albuquerque, sisters-in-law Martha Warner of Denver, C.O., Theresa Armijo of Rio Rancho, N.M., Sophie Robinson and husband Robbie of Florida, and Louise Tilden and husband Bob of Albuquerque, N.M., 13 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. He will be missed by all his family and friends. Recitation of the rosary will be held in The Chapel of Block-Salazar Mortuary in Espanola on Monday, May 25th at 7:00 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Canada Catholic Church in Santa Cruz at 12:00 p.m..
