Eva Alaniz

With sadness we announce that Eva Alaniz passed peacefully on December 20, 2022. Eva was born on April 5, 1935, in Artesia, New Mexico to [the late] Salvador and Caroline Alaniz.

She is preceded in death by her brothers Henry, Sal and Elias Alaniz, and her beloved daughter Kami Martinez.

Eva retired from the State of NM after more than 20 years of service and enjoyed many hobbies including gardening, painting, and cooking. She was a devout Christian and served her church community her entire life. Eva leaves an abundance of wonderful memories to be cherished by her family and friends.

She is survived by daughters Denise and Lyndi, and step-daughter Samantha (Curtis, CJ, Christopher), and sisters Tommie, Virginia, Gloria, Rachel and Linda; many nieces and nephews and adoring friends.

She will be forever cherished and remembered by her loving grandchildren, Landon and Avery, they were the light of her life. Eva’s life was our blessing, and she will never be forgotten.

Services for Eva will be held on January 28, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Grace Community Church, 2247 Camino Carlos Rey, Santa Fe, NM 87507.
