Eva Gomez

Eva Gomez, 99, of Cerro passed away on January 18, 2008. She was born to Juan and Presiliana Gomez on September 21, 1908 in Cerro, NM. She was one of 14 children and the last of this Gomez family. Eva would have been 100 years old on September 21, 2008. She married Estevan Gomez and had 8 children, Stephanie, Lucy, Joe, Bob, Kathleen, Abel, Jane and Leo. She lived in Cerro most of her life, but also in Santa Fe for a significant period and retired form the La Fonda Hotel. She is preceded in death by her husband, Estevan Gomez and children, Stephanie, Joe, Bob, Leo and numerous other family members. She is survived by one son, Abel Gomez (Joan), three daughters, Lucy Archuleta, Kathleen Gomez and Jane Garcia. She is also survived by 28 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren, 22 great great grandchildren and many other relatives. Services were held on Monday, January 21, 2008. Funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 22, 2008. Both services were held at El Buen Pastor Church. Interment was held at Cerro Cemetery.
