Ezequiela “Quequi” Sierra
January 25, 1938 – December 31, 2024
Ezequiela “Quequi” Sierra, 86, of White Rock, NM, formerly of Jacksonville, FL, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2024. Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, she was preceded in death by her parents, Candida Rosa Rosario and Carlos Encarnacion, and her beloved husband of 52 years, Pedro A. Sierra. She was the eldest of six siblings.
Quequi was a devoted military wife and a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She had a passion for cooking and sewing, and her greatest joy came from spending time with family and friends. Her unwavering positivity and warm spirit left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
She is survived by her five siblings; her three children, Carlos Sierra of Houston, TX, Nelson Sierra of Jacksonville, FL, and Brenda (Greg) Lomax of White Rock, NM; six grandchildren, Carlos Sierra, Roberto Sierra, Lourdes Garcia, Ydalis Lomax, Kayla Sierra, and Sophia Lomax; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Quequi will be laid to rest alongside her husband at Jacksonville National Cemetery in Jacksonville, FL on Friday, January 24 at 10:30 AM. She will be remembered with friends and family during mass at Maria Auxiliadora Church in San Juan, Puerto Rico on Sunday, January 26 at 9:00 AM.
