Faith Lila Flores was granted her angel wings on July 26, 2024. Her final days will be remembered by the people around her as magical. That is how Faith lived each and every day. Magic is what she brought to those around her.
Faith’s life seemed too short for those who were a part of her life. The quality was far more important than quantity of time. Faith had the most radiant smile that melted the hearts of those around her. She had boundless energy and curiosity. She had a kind heart and a caregiver personality. She was a little girl and a woman all at once. You would find Faith running around screaming and laughing, jumping up down on a trampoline and enjoying every moment of every day. Faith was like any other kid, she loved playing in the dirt and is described by her family as adventurous and fearless. She was funny, outspoken, and caring. Although tiny in stature, she loved to eat everything and anything. It seemed that she needed snacks twenty-four hours a day. Faith was like Snow White, she loved animals and animals loved her. Her special little friend was “Rascal” her precious guinea pig.
Faith was known for her beautiful long hair and perfectly painted fingernails. She loved makeup, long eyelashes, and beautiful lipstick. Like any other women it took her hours to get ready for the simplest of activities. She loved sports and took first place in track this previous school year. She was due to start playing volleyball and we can all say she would have been a star.
Red is the color of life force, energy, love, affection, fire, air, freedom, and life. Faith’s favorite color was red. The Catholic Church uses red in its liturgy for feast of the Holy Spirit, martyrs, and evangelists. Perhaps that is why Faith gained her wings so early in life. A true testament of God’s love for Faith and her love of God and her faith. Purple was her second favorite color. A person who loves purple is quick-witted, wise, brave, and spiritual, and is described as magic, everything that describes Faith.
She is preceded in death by her brothers Stevie Rey, Joshua and Vicente; by her uncles Ben Flores, Manual Flores, and Frutoso Flores; by her great grandma Teodora Flores.
Faith leaves behind an unwavering love that will forever be treasured by her Mother Destiny Kae Wilkerson and Father Gary Henry Flores.; by the women who raised her Ayesha Flores (Alex) and Tequa Stern; by her siblings Maximus Flores, Gary Flores Jr. (Natalie), Jaidenfai Trujillo, Benjamin Monson, Trinity Ortiz, Kayla Flores, Angelo Herrera (Ashley), Santana Herrera (Lorenzo), Asiah Flores, Enrique Herrera, Alma Hamilton (Isiah), and Lili Diamond: by her grandmother Veronica Flores, and Floralea Trujillo; many aunts, uncles, niece, nephews, numerous cousins, and many more relatives and friends.
Faith created wonderful memories for her family. It has been a privilege to have been her mother, her father, sister, cousin, niece, and friend to everyone whose lives she touched. Although we will miss her beautiful smile and that addictive laughter, she will forever remain in our hearts.
Services will be held on August 6, 2024 at 10 AM at Rivera Chapel with interment to follow at Dolores Cemetery in El Prado.
