Federico “Fred” Archuleta, 91, of Ojo Caliente, passed away September 5, 2017, peacefully in his home surrounded by his family. He was born on March 5, 1926 in Ojo Caliente, New Mexico. He was preceded in death by his father Federico Archuleta and his mother Maria Archuleta. He was also preceded in death by Maurice Manown, Ross Chavez, George Rinaldi, and Mickey Archuleta. He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Elia Archuleta, son Walter Archuleta (Daniela Perez), daughter Patricia Romero (Robert Romero) and daughter Monica Archuleta (Joe Steven Martinez), six grandchildren Felicia Lucero, Antonio Romero, Diego Romero, Robert “Bobby” Lucero III, Julia Romero and Steven Martinez, brothers Jose Maria Archuleta, Martin Archuleta (Helen), Celedonio Archuleta (Alice), Manuel Archuleta (Leticia), sisters Lucy Manown, Cecilia Rinaldi, Ernedes Chavez and his beloved little sister Linda Archuleta, and numerous nieces and nephews. Fred was a loving husband, father, grandpa, brother and friend. Fred was a World War II veteran. He worked for Bethlehem Steel Corporation before moving back to his beloved land in New Mexico. In 1976, he started working for Mason & Hanger as a security inspector and retired in 1990. A Rosary will be held on Monday, September 11, 2017, 7:00 PM at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Ojo Caliente, New Mexico Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, September 12, 2017, 10:00 AM, St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Ojo Caliente, New Mexico. Interment will Follow at 2:15 PM, at the Santa Fe National Cemetery, Santa Fe, New Mexico Pallbearers will be Robert Romero, Antonio Romero, Juan Diego Romero, Robert “Bobby” Lucero III, Joe Steven Martinez, and Steven Martinez. Honorary Pallbearers will be Felicia Lucero and Julia Romero. The family of Federico Archuleta has entrusted the care of their loved one to the Rivera Family Funeral Home and Crematory of Espanola, New Mexico.
