Fernando Chavez, 88, of Santa Fe, passed away Saturday, June 7, 2008. He is preceded in death by wife Genieve Chavez, and son Gilbert Chavez, grandson Kenny Chavez, brother Felipe (Luther) Chavez, and sister; Frances Duran. He is survived by two sons; Michael Chavez of Santa Fe, Art Chavez and wife Margie of Albuquerque, grandchildren; Frances Russo and husband Chris of Albuquerque, Jorel Chavez of Albuquerque, great-grandchildren; Savanna, Elizabeth , and John Russo, and Ryan Salazar-Chavez. He is also survived by Flora Tapia, who was a very special friend. A Rosary will be recited by the La Union Protectiva on Wednesday, June 11, 2008 at 7:00 pm at the Santa Fe Funeral Options Chapel.
