It is with a very heavy heart this holiday season to announce the unexpected passing of Fernando Jesse James Duran of El Llano, Ohkay Owingeh and Cherokee in the early morning of December 5th, 2021.
Fernando was an avid outsdoorsman, a passion for elk hunting the first thing to mind by others. He was proud to work side by side with his father on many projects, learning about construction and a love of the outdoors with his brothers Michael, Leroy, sister-in-law Brittany, and nephew De Andre. Fernando was in the comfort of his loving mother's home and company in his passing.
He leaves behind a beautiful family- numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins in New Mexico and Oklahoma. His grandma Peggy was an important part of his life. Fernando's life was full of friendship, all of who will miss him dearly. Fernando will be resting in paradise.
Services are scheduled for Tuesday, December 14th. Rosary 10:30 and Mass at 11:00 at Santa Cruz, with burial to follow at Santa Cruz cemetery.
Please leave comments for the family, pictures and stories of Fernando here.
