Febye Rose Villareal-Garcia The Foremother of the family passed away peacefully where she wanted to be, in her home surrounded by family and loved ones.
Febye Rose Villareal-Garcia, 89, was born in Alcalde, N.M. in 1934, to Cesario & Ernestine Villareal. At the age of six, she was introduced to music and the farming process of green chili. Today, Febye’s green chili has become the staple dish of her home, which many of the family carry on. Febye enjoyed listening to music at a very young age. Music not only brought joy to her, but also brought musical talent amongst several of her grandchildren. Febye was the eldest sister of the family, the one who stayed home with mom to cook and clean. In her years of profession, she possessed a multitude of talent and skills in Housekeeping. She worked in various settings, which she had great passion for. One of Febye’s favorite hobbies was reading, her mother Ernestine also shared this hobby. This hobby allowed her to have very fond memories until the very few years of her life.
In 1953, Delfino Garcia and Febye married and shared their children together. After the passing of her husband Delfino, she introduced the youngest of her two children.
Febye is preceded in death by her parents, Cesario & Ernestine Villareal, brothers, Celestino & Patrick, sisters, Elsie, Judy & Yvonne Villareal, husband, Delfino Garcia, sons, Leonard & Gary Garcia, grandchildren, Leo Nevarez, Isaac Hernandez, Jordan Garcia, Nadine Garcia-Lopez, Febye Rose Sena, & Gary Orozco.
Febye is survived by her children, Judy Mendoza, Elaine Garcia, Trina Nevarez, Dale & Loretta Garcia, Ruby Garcia-Sanchez (Jaime) & Leon Garcia (Florence).
Febye raised eight grandchildren and one great grandchild. The nurture and loving deeds that she brought to their lives will be impossible to forget.Roland Garcia (Georgette), Darnella Comacho (Manuel), Lawrence Garcia (Kimberly), Anthony Garcia, Susanna Garcia-Trujillo (Benny), Angelica, David & Marikah Garcia. Febye is also survived by numerous grandchildren, and great children along with many very special nieces and nephews who were like sons and daughters to her.
Febye’s love of a mother is unconditional and everlasting. Febye, a woman of great Faith, who possessed vast strength and gentleness, will be kept alive in her memory. The family will carry the lessons and love that she gifted throughout our lives by honoring and cherishing her. We will remember the values she instilled in us.
During her last days, Febye had remarkable and comforting care from her granddaughter Maxine Febye Arellano, the dedication and hard work will never go unnoticed. Viewing will be held October 18, 2023 5-6 pm, Rosary to follow 6-7 pm.
Mass will be held October 20, 2023 at 11 am at San Juan Bautista Parish.
