Flora Vigil

Flora Vigil, 94, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on March 13, 2017 in Santa Fe, NM. She was born July 12, 1922 in Duran, New Mexico to Escolastica Saiz and Celestino Saiz. She is preceded in death by her spouses Ernesto Perea and Seferino Vigil and sons Sammy and Dennis Perea. She is survived by her daughters Bernice Smith (Gerald), Theresa Garcia (Leo), Antonia Jaramillo (Felipe), and Yvonne Duran (Pat), her sons Jake Perea (Reyes), Ernesto Perea, Louis Perea, Jesus Vigil (Viola), and Fred Vigil (Gloria). 42 granchildren, numerous great and great great grandchildren. She was a member of the St Johns Catholic Church in Santa Fe, a member of the Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Society in Duran, New Mexico and a member of the Sacred Heart Society in Pinos Wells, NM. A viewing will be held on Thursday, March 16, 2017 at 6:30pm at the Kiva Chapel at Rivera Funeral Home with the rosary to follow at 7:30pm. The mass will be at St. John’s Catholic Church on Friday, March 17, 2017 at 9:00am. Interment will be at the Pinos Wells Cemetery at 12:30pm. The pallbearers are Greg Smith, Phillip Jaramillo, Joseph Perea, Eric Perea, Joey Garcia, and Chris Duran.
