Florence E. Rael

Florence E. Rael, 76, of Questa, New Mexico passed away peacefully and surrounded by her family on Saturday, February 27, 2016. She is loved by husband, Deacon Felimon Rael, daughter Jayleen Rael (husband Mike Thompson) of Mountain View CA, sons Edwin Rael (wife Lisa) of Santa Fe, NM, John Rael, and Peter Rael both of Questa, NM, grandchildren Ashley Rael, Dustin Rael, Jenise Thompson, Patrice Rael, Selina Rael, Serena Thompson and Carlos Vigil. Great grandchildren Liam Harrison, Alyna and Brayden Vigil. Florence shared a close bond to sister Lorraine Duran which extended between both families. She is also survived by brothers, Lino, Conrad, and Gilbert Garcia and is preceded in death by her parents Eloy and Emelina Garcia, and siblings Gaspar, Marcelina, and Norbert. Florence forged bonds of love in family and friends through her smile and uplifting, joyful energy forever touching hearts with her kindness, love and strong Catholic faith. Rosary was held on March 1, 2016 at Rivera Chapel. Rosary and Memorial were held on March 2, 2016 at St. Mel’s Catholic Church in Eagle Nest. Mass of Resurrection was held on March 3, 2016 at St. Mel’s in Eagle Nest with final interment at the Pueblito Cemetary in Questa. In lieu of flowers, the family would greatly appreciate donations to the St. Anthony Save the Parish Fund or THS Cancer Support Services. Arrangements by Rivera Family Funeral Home.
