Floyd Vigil

On Saturday, June 26, 2021 we laid our beloved Father Floyd E. Vigil to rest. A Beautiful mass was held at St. Anthony’s Parish in Pecos, New Mexico and his cremated ashes were placed next to his beautiful wife Mary Bowles Vigil at family ranch in Colonias, New Mexico.

A eulogy was given by his Godson Daniel Lucero and a poem was read by his sister Rose Montoya. Niece Veronica Valdez, Niece Tami Joseph and Sister Rose Montoya were the readers for the mass. Music was performed by Reyes and Cordelia Garcia. Pallbearers were Leroy Vigil, Jr., Thomas Bowles, Herman vigil, Daniel Lucero & Jeremy Olsen. Honorary Pallbearers were Gilbert Bowles, Leroy Vigil Sr., Johnny Vigil, Art Montoya and Gilbert Vigil.

Thank you to those who assisted us in preparing for our Father’s celebration of life. Michael Vigil, Danny Joseph, Ronald Romero, Jessica Vigil, Jeffrey & Renee Lyon, Stephanie Salazar& Family, Raechele Lyon & Family, Albert & Jackie Lujan and Mark Riddle. Food was prepared by Richard & Sophie Valencia and the Dasheno Family of Santa Clara Pueblo.

The Vigil Family would like to extend a very big thank you to everyone who shared in such a heartfelt ceremony and day of celebration, those who assisted, traveled, shared stories of love, life and laughter of our beloved Father Floyd. Rest in peace Dad 05/19/1945 – 10/15/2020.
