Forrest William Brinkley Jr., age 90, passed peacefully at home on June 12, 2021.
Forrest was surrounded by the love of his wife, Anne Brinkley in his passing. Also surviving are his two sons, Patrick “Rick” (Freda) Brinkley of San Mateo, California, Timothy Brinkley of San Diego, California and two granddaughters, Erika (Jon) Lewis of Danville, California and Miranda Brinkley of San Mateo, California. Also mourning his loss are caregivers Mike and Bea.
Forrest was born in Memphis, Tennessee June 25, 1930 to Forrest William Sr. and Aileen Ferguson. Forrest grew up in Denver, worked hard to earn his Master's degree from University of Denver and settled in New Mexico. Mr. Brinkley was a part of the Los Alamos National Laboratory team as an expert in software engineering. He dedicated 41 years to his work in Los Alamos and will be dearly missed by the community.
A burial service will take place at Guaje Pines Cemetery of Los Alamos, NM ON Thursday, June 24th at 3 pm. Mr. Brinkley is in the gentle care of Rivera Family Funeral Home of Los Alamos.
