Frances H. Montoya

Frances H. Montoya, 84 of Des Montes passed away on November 16, 2009. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jose Daniel and Rosita Herrera, husband, Reverend Eloy Montoya, infant son, Daniel Montoya, brothers Jacobo and Moises Herrera, sisters, Valentina Montoya and Pablita Sanchez. She is survived by children, Rev. Elsie L. Chavez (Jimmy) of Des Montes, Gloria L. Montoya of Des Montes, Grace Olivarez (Rev. Danny) of Ft. Collins, CO, Rebecca Montoya of Taos, Rachel Montoya of Des Montes, Mary Louise Nuanez of Taos, Elias Montoya (Martha) of Des Montes, Lydia Montoya of Albuquerque and Frances Celestino (Rev. Firmo Jr.) of Questa, grand daughters who were raised as daughters, Fallon Martinez and Tarrah Ahdokobo, 22 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren on the way, sisters, Dolores Varoz of Des Montes, Carolina Coria of Flagstaff, AZ, Cidelia Roybal of Las Colonias, Angelica Stoner of Hayward, CA, sisters in law, Cerve Herrera of Des Montes and Annie Montoya (Joe) of Las Vegas, brother in law, Andres Montoya of Des Montes and many other friends and relatives. Prayer service was held on November 18, 2009 at Rivera Chapel. Funeral Services were held on November 19, 2009 at Rivera Chapel. Interment was held at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe where she was laid to rest by her beloved husband who served in the Army during World War II.
