Frank Ramos Aguino was a caring husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He left this world on November 5, 2022, at the age of 78 surrounded by his family, at his home in Albuquerque, NM.Frank was born on March 22, 1944 in San Juan Pueblo, NM. Growing up in a large family of five brother and six sisters, Frank had much love, and enjoyed hunting and fishing in the area. Playing baseball was one of Frank’s passions. Clutch homeruns and leaping catches were trademarks of Frank’s play with the San Juan Hawks. Frank attended Albuquerque Indian School and graduated from Espanola High in 1962. During this time, Frank met the love of his life, Victoria Cata. A match made in heaven, Frank and Victoria married on February 15, 1964. Also during this time, Frank was beginning his enlistment in the United States Navy. Assigned to the Seabee Unit MCB-58, Frank served his country in Vietnam, and received his honorable discharge in 1967. Returning home to NM, Frank and Victoria raised their two sons, Chester and Steve. Frank worked at Kirtland Air Force base and retired following 35 years of Civil Service.Family and friends would say Frank had a humorous way of bringing us joy. He had a knack for one-liners and unexpected jokes. Frank loved and supported his family and community. Frank served as a tribal official at Ohkay Owingeh, NM in 1999. Frank and Victoria enjoyed 63 years together, 58 years of marriage. During his death, Frank kept his keen wit, asking his nurse, “Why is Victoria signing so many papers? Are we getting divorced?”. Frank’s Tewa name is Thaa’Mu’P’in, English translation “Silhouette of Mountain”.Frank was preceded in death by his father, Victor Pete, his mother, Martina, brothers Alfred, Henry, Juan B., and Diego Aguino, and his sisters Pasqualita, Alice, Lupita and Josephine. He is survived by his loving wife Victoria, his two sons Chester and Steve and their spouses Phyllis and Karen, his brother Patrick, and sisters Florence and Pauline. Grandchildren Nina, Tabitha, Eli, Kayleen, Maia, and Lea. Great-grandchildren JessieAnn, Alexandria, Laniyah, Aaliyah, and Kiara.
