Frank Mares

Frank Paul Mares, passed away on February 13, 2012. He was born on March 2, 1927 in La Cienega and grew up in Cerrillos, NM. His father was Laurencio Mares and his mother was Manuelita Montoya Mares. Frank had two brothers, Fidel and Felipe, and two sisters, Nora and Josie. Frank entered the Army during the Korean conflict. Frank is survived by his children, Daniel, Doris, Dolan and Dennis; grandchildren, Victoria, Cristina and David, and great-grandchild, Jaclyn; his sister Josie and many nieces, nephews, and God children, and his pet cat Goldie. A rosary was recited on February 15, 2012 at the Rivera Family of Santa Fe Funeral Options Chapel. Mass of Christian burial was be celebrated on February 16, 2012 at the St. Francis Cathedral. Interment followed at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.
