Frank Salazar

1944 — December 30, 2021

Frank Abel Salazar Sr., 77, born and raised in Taos, NM. He went to be with his father in heaven on December 30th, 2021.  Preceded in death with his mom, Delia, dad, Eloy, sister, Polly, and brother, Eloy Jr.  Frank was first a man of God– he lived to serve, study, and spread the gospel of  Christ. He was also a passionate woodcarver - spending countless hours creating sculptures. Many of which he won awards for to include, but not limited to, first  place at the Española Valley Arts Festival, and second place at the NM State Fair and Traditional Spanish Market. Frank was a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather. He shared a beautiful marriage with his wife of 48 years, Ofelia Salazar. He was the core of his family - his sons Frank Jr., Amos, Guy (Gina), and daughter Donna. His grandchildren Mandi (Geno), Stefanie, Ricky, Joseph, Eunique, Vince, Josiah, Ivy, Mia, Guy Jr., Cody, Gemini, and Shailo. His great grandchildren, Izaiah, Jerami, Mason, Bryson, and Anthony. His brothers and sisters, Angie Holgerson, Eileen Greiser (Art), Ben Salazar (Bonnie), Eli Salazar (Christine), Toby Salazar (Trudy), and Patty Salazar.  Frank was loved by many, near and far, as he impacted each person he came in contact with. He will be greatly missed. His loving legacy will go on for ages.

On behalf of the Rivera staff we are extremely heartbroken at the loss of such a great friend and beloved co-worker.  He was truly loved by all of us and we will miss him dearly.  Your Rivera family.
