Frank Trujillo

June 25, 1935 — October 30, 2022

Frank B. Trujillo passed away on Sunday, October 30, 2022 after battling Dementia and other illnesses.  He was 87 years old.  Frank was born to Ernestine Sanchez on June 25, 1935 in Santa Fe, NM. He enlisted in the Navy on October 27, 1953 during the Korean War.  He spent 4 years in the Navy ending his service as a Gunner’s mate 3 on the USS Toledo.  During his time in the Navy he was writing to his sister’s best friend who became his wife when they married on December 27th, 1958 in San Ysidro, NM.  Frank was a hard-working man who worked for various construction companies until he formed his own company (Frank Trujillo and Sons) in 1978.  Frank worked 2-3 jobs at a time so that his wife could stay home and raise their 4 children.  He enjoyed hunting, camping and fishing with his family and visiting the casinos with his wife.

Frank was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Virginia Trujillo; parents Cruz & Ernestine Romero; sisters Flora Rotunno and Mary K. Valdez; infant sister Irene.  He is survived by his daughter Brenda Medina (Joel), sons Frank S Trujillo (Martha) and Randy Trujillo (Therese), daughter Diana Medina (Mike) and sister Rebecca Galvez. He is also survived by his grandchildren Cecily Gibson (Travis), Clarissa Guerrero (Gerardo), Frank W Trujillo (Erin), Manuel Trujillo (Kynsi), Derrian Muhovich (Tim), Andrew Trujillo (Bianca), Lorenzo Medina (Adriana), Dominic Medina (Cristina), Angelica Trujillo, Adriana Ramirez, Ellyse Ramirez, Emily Aragon; 14 great-grandchildren; special nieces Yolanda and Tina Valdez and many more nieces and nephews; sister in law’s Rosalie, Margie, Alice and Anne, brother-in law Miguel.

A rosary will be recited Monday, November 14, 2022 at 7:00 PM in the Chapel at Rivera Family Funeral Home.  Funeral mass will be held on Tuesday November 15, 2022 at 10:00 AM at St. Anne Parish with reception to follow at the Parish hall.  Interment is scheduled at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 2:00 PM.  Pallbearers will be Frank’s grandsons.
