Fred-Ivo Baca

FRED-IVO B. BACA, Native Santa Fean and local business owner of B & G Automotive, passed away peacefully on Thursday November 18th, at 10:16pm at Presbyterian Hospital. Fred shared a beautiful life and raised three children, Fred-Ivo, Jeremy, and Cassandra with Mona Bradford-Baca. He was the son of the late Benjamin Baca Sr. He is survived by his mother Deluvine Baca and his three siblings Beni-Leigh, Benjamin S., Jonathan, and special friend Rachel Garcia, as well as many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly. He took great pride in volunteering as a confirmation teacher at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church & Santa Maria de la Paz. He was a member of the Archdiocese of Santa Fe Cursillo Group, Holy Name society, and he was an award winning drag car racer and skilled mechanic who loved to build race cars as a hobby. Fred had a generous heart and never met a stranger. He would help anyone in need and he was always the life of every party. His spontaneity, ability to tell great stories, and huge heart will be missed but never forgotten.

-Visitation will be November 29 from 6-8 pm at Santa Maria de la Paz Catholic Church with rosary at 7 pm.-A Funeral Mass (or Mass of Christian Burial) will be celebrated December 1 at Santa Maria de la Paz Catholic Church at 1:30 pm.(Santa Maria de la Paz. 11 College Ave, Santa Fe, NM 87508)-The Rite of Committal will follow at Rivera Family Memorial Gardens.(Rivera’s Cemetery. 417 Rodeo Road, Santa Fe, NM 87505)Rosary and Mass will be live streamed.Masks required.
