Gabriel E. Vigil

Gabriel E. Vigil age 74 of La Mesilla, NM. died peacefully on Monday June 7, 2010 in Espanola. He was born in Hooper, CO. to the late Abdon J. Vigil and Feloniz Rael-Vigil and was a former patrolman and the chief of police for the Questa police department. He is survived by his wife Genevieve Vigil and sons; Gabriel S. Vigil and wife Annabelle and John J. Vigil and wife Vangie all of Espanola, grandchildren; Christian, Michael, Megan, Joshua, Klarissa and Julie Vigil, brothers; Ernest, Valentine, Joe Ben, John, Leroy and Tim Vigil, and sisters Magdeline Gonzales and Julia Gustin, numerous nephews & nieces and other relatives. Arrangements for cremation without public visitation have been made, an informal gathering of family & friends will take place on Wednesday June 9th at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Rivera Family Funeral Home in Espanola. The family is grateful to Ideal Homecare, The Espanola Hospital and Espanola emergency responders for their professionalism and care of their beloved Gabriel.
