Gene Quintana

July 29, 1941 — February 21, 2021

Gene P. Quintana of San Pedro, passed away peacefully in his home, with family by his side, on Sunday, February 21, 2021. Gene was known for his love of selling along with his son. He made his weekly round into Santa Fe selling Chile Ristras. Pistachios, Chile, Carne Seca. He delivered both the New Mexican and Albuquerque Journal. Gene lived through humble pleasures.

Gene was born in Leadville, Colorado to his beloved (Parents) Pete and Julia Quintana. Proceeding him in Death is as follows, His beloved (Father) Pete and Beloved (Mother) Julia, His beloved (Daughter) Genie Quintana, His (Brothers) Bobby, Julian, Tim, and Roland Quintana, His (Maternal Grandparents) Tony and Ursula Passarelli, His (Paternal Grandparents) Jose and Delfina Quintana, and his Forever (Companion, bestfriend)  is his Dog, “Rocky”...

He is Survived by his Son Gene Quintana Jr.. Grandsons Gene Quintana III and Marcos Wittwski. His brothers Max Quintana and (Wife) Mickie, Joseph Quintana and (Wife) Rosella. His Sisters Dolores Martinez, Julia Martinez, Cristella Maestas and (Husband)Leland, Patsy Murry, Irene Martinez and (Husband) Max, and Sister in Law Patricia Quintana, along many Nieces, Nephews and Friends… You will be Truly missed Brother! Vaya Con Dios!!

A public viewing will be held at Rivera Family Funeral Home in Espanola on Friday, March 5, 2021 from 1-4 pm. Burial for Gene will occur the following day, Saturday March 6, 2021 at Holy Cross Cemetery at noon.
