George G. Hammer

George G. Hammer, 95, of Ranchos de Taos passed away on March 27, 2018. His greatest asset was being a devoted family man, who loved his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was an Army Veteran of WWII and a purple heart recipient. He is preceded in death by his wife, Ernestina Hammer, son, Martin Hammer, parents, Loren and Francisquita Hammer, brothers, Sam, Loren, Frank and Charlie Hammer. He is survived by his children, Joseph Hammer (Rosemarie), Aurora Gibes (Ken), Cathy Avent (Danny) and Margaret Hammer, 9 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, many other relatives and friends. Rosary will be recited on Tuesday, April 03, 2018 at 6 PM at San Francisco de Asis Catholic Church. Funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, April 04, 2018 at 10 AM at San Francisco de Asis Catholic Church with interment to follow at the Jesus Nazareno Cemetery.
