George Gillespie

George Edward Gillespie, age 79 of Santa Fe, New Mexico passed away March 29, 2016. He was born October 3, 1936 in Pueblo, Colorado to Bessie Hagens and Charles Reynolds Gillespie and married Emma Louise Tormey, December 6, 1965 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. George is preceded in death by his wife Emma Gillespie, father Charles Gillespie, mother Bessie Gillespie and brother Charles Gillespie Jr. He is survived by his son Greg Gillespie (Juanita) of Santa Fe, New Mexico, daughter Jennifer Tobin (Bill) of Albuquerque, New Mexico, grandchildren Tyler, John, Annise, Kalie, and Ryland and sister Shanna Davis. George served in the Air National Guard as an Airman Third Class, he was a charter member of the Rotary del Sur, and retired from US West after 35 years of service. George was involved in various Community organizations and was committed to bettering the community he lived in. His humor will be missed. A Public Visitation will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 2, 2016 at the Kiva Chapel of Light, 417 E. Rodeo Rd., Santa Fe, NM with a Celebration of Life following at 2:00 p.m. A reception will take place immediately following at the Santa Fe County Fair Grounds Large Annex Building 3229 Rodeo Rd.
