George I Duran, 70 entered into eternal peace on November 20, 2018.
He was a fabulous and animated story teller that had the gift of laughter. When he was younger, George worked as an electrician but his true calling was helping people. He was a certified Peer Support Specialist and helped many people with mental health and substance abuse issues. He also worked with developmentally disabled adults.
George leaves his loving memories to be cherished by his long-time companion, Therese Baca, his daughters Jennifer Duran, Joy Klein and Erica Duran, grandchildren Gerrick Duran, Brandan Duran, JamiRae Duran and Savannnah Romero. Great grandsons, Justice King Corriz and Rider Royal Duran and the mother of his children, Trudy Duran. Siblings, Celina Duran, Jesse Duran (Shella), Pauline Gieger (Kelsy), Joe Duran, Barbara Giron, Frieda Duran (Mike), Dennis Duran (Jenny), and Gilbert Duran (Chris) numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his Parents and Son-in-law Joe Klein.
The son of the late Rubel and Crestina Duran, George was born on July 2, 1948 and raised in Santo Nino. He was most recently a resident of Abiquiu, New Mexico.
A memorial service will be held this Saturday, December 1, 2018 at 11AM at Truth Ministries Calvary Chapel, El Valle de Arroyo Seco, New Mexico (18496 US-84, Santa Fe, NM 87506)
