George Martinez Ii

George Martinez, 41, resident of Albuquerque and formerly of La Puebla and Las Vegas, NM went to be with our Lord on Thursday, March 7, 2019. George was preceded in death by his father, George Martinez, Sr., brothers – Robert and Patrick Garcia, and beloved sister – Kristina (Nano) Martinez. George was a force of nature, he could spark up a conversation with just about anyone he came in contact with, he made friends wherever he went. He would give the shirt off his back for anyone in need. George was an electrician and he took great pride in his work. He loved his children to the moon and back and only wanted the best for them. George is survived by his daughter, Gabriella Martinez, his son, George Martinez III, the love of his life, Gina Garcia, his step-daughter, Jazlynn Gonzales, his mother, Rachel Headley and his sisters, Deborah Elliott and husband William, Elizabeth Stump and husband David, and Lydia Phillips. He is also survived by his cousin, Johnny (Juan) Garcia, whom he considered a brother, his Godson, Brad Elliott, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. A rosary will be recited on Friday, March 15, 2019 at 10:00 am at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Cañada with Mass of Christian burial to follow at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Serving the family as pallbearers are Johnny (Juan) Garcia, Brad Elliott, Richard (Dicky) Montoya, Christian Maestas, Tony Deaguero, Jerry Salazar, and Angel Valdez.
