George Ruben Ortiz

GEORGE RUBEN ORTIZ 75, of Santa Fe, formerly of Chamisal, and of Chimayo, NM, passed away on October 30, 2012. Mr. Ortiz was preceded in death by his parents, George V. and Emiteria Ortiz; and his one and only sister Marianita Torres. He is survived by close friends Candido and Aurora Dominguez of Chamisal; close friends Pauline Pena of Santa Fe and Eddie Lovato also of Santa Fe; his cousins: Benny Ortiz of Chimayo; Shirley Portzline of Albuquerque, Flora Hankins of Albuquerque and Reynalda Sanchez of Santa Fe; and many other relatives and friends. Cremation has been arranged through Rivera Family Mortuaries, Santa Fe. A Memorial Service will be held at Villa Hermosa Senior Citizens Center on Luisa Street at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, November 14, 2012. A Mass will be celebrated at San Antonio de Padua in Penasco, NM on Saturday, November 24, 2012 at 10 a.m. Burial will be held at the Chamisal Cemetery.
