Georgia Ruth Hildegard Larson (nee Reineke) passed away after a brief hospitalization on January 30, 2024, in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Georgia was born on Easter Sunday, April 6, 1947, in Kirchhain, East Germany. She was the daughter of the late Maria Dorothe Ursula Reineke and the niece of the late Elisabeth Klara Ruth Reineke. She is survived by her goddaughter, Frances Welling (nee Button), and many loving friends.
Georgia loved to travel. She lived worked in England, Germany, Egypt, China, and the U.S. While living in Arizona and Colorado, she worked for a home relocation service. Georgia had a passion for art. She worked in art galleries in California and Santa Fe, NM and she volunteered as a docent at the Museum of Indian Arts and Culture in Santa Fe.
Georgia was a kind, generous, and selfless person, who loved to help others. In Santa Fe, she managed the 50+ Employment Connection for New Mexico's Aging and Long Term Services Dept. After her retirement, as a volunteer, she taught English as a second language and she read for the blind.
Georgia wanted it said to her many friends "Thank you, from my heart, for sharing your lives and laughter with me. Your love and support meant everything to me."
To honor Georgia's life, please pray for her eternal rest and do a kind deed for someone.
Lord, we ask you to guide and protect Georgia and give her peace.

A Mass will be said for the repose of Georgia's soul on April 6, 2024 at 10:00am at St. Anne's Catholic Church, 511 Alicia Street, Santa Fe. A Celebration of Life will follow from 1:00 to 3:00pm at the Pecos Trail Café, 2239 Old Pecos Trail, Santa Fe. If you will be attending the Celebration of Life, please RSVP in the spaces below.
