Geronimo “Jerry” Benito Gonzales 

The Family of Jerry Gonzales announces his passing on June 29, 2023.  He was born on March 21, 1936, In Santa Fe.  

Jerry worked for the United States Postal Service for 29 years and the First Judicial District Court Of New Mexico for 13 years.  He also enjoyed fishing, singing, and playing guitar.  Moreso, He loved his family and friends.  He was a man of faith who never knew a stranger. His light heart, positive energy and sense of humor will be dearly missed. 

He is preceded in death by his parents Marcos and Elena Alarid Gonzales, his first wife Arlene, and his daughter Angel Hopkins.  Also, his sister Ernestine and husband Cayetano Chavez, and brothers David and wife Diana and Lorenzo and wife Dolores. 

Jerry is survived by his wife Melody Stumpff Gonzales, granddaughter Destiny Gonzales, who he and Melody raised, children Laura Bajune, Dina Hennessy (Tom), Mark “sparky” Gonzales (Sharon), Lisa Nuss (Rick), stepdaughters Veronica VanHoose, Stacey Lightfoot (Kelsey), his siblings, Sam Gonzales Pancha Martinez, and Antonio Gonzales, 11 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and many extended family members.   

Rosary will be at St. John’s Catholic church on 07/19/2023 at 6:00 PM 

Funeral Mass will be at St. John’s Catholic church on 07/20/2023 at 11:00 AM
