Gilberto Valdez

Gilberto Valdez, age 87 of Chama, NM, passed away, January 12, 2017 after a lengthy Illness and natural causes. Gilberto was preceded in death by: a daughter, Vickie Valdez; parents: Jose Maria and Rebecca Valdez brothers: Paul, Henry and Nestor Valdez Sister: Genoveva Valdez; parents In law: Jose and Antonia Gutierrez. He is survived by his loving wife: Rose Valdez; Sons: Johnny, Joseph and companion, Charlene Salazar, Larry Valdez, and Jeremiah Keith Valdez and companion, Amanda, daughters: Mildred and Jannelle Valdez; Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren: Heather Valdez Hern and Husband Samuel Hern (AngelusJerome, AmethystJade, AlbianJames and Baby Valdezhern), Camil Valdez Garduno and husband Donnie Garduno (XavierMarcus and VictoriunDonnie Jr ValdezGarduno), Destiny Valdez and Companion Freddie Archuleta (Isabella Archuleta), Edward Rodriguez and companion Jaimie, Rebecca Lynn Valdez and companion Jarred Martinez (Noah Martinez), Larry Valdez Jr and companion Shanice War (Elijah Valdez), Jeremiah Valdez, Tizrah Valdez, Keith Valdez, Paidence Valdez, and Neomiah Valdez and Brother: Anselmo Valdez and Beloved Pet ‘Whitey’. A Rosary will be prayed on Sunday January 15th a 7pm at Rivera Family Funeral Home Funeral in Espanola. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, January 16th at 10:30 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Espanola. Burial will take place in Los Ojos, NM, Pallbearers will be: Samuel Hern, Camil ValdezGarduno, Jeremiah Kieth Valdez, Larry Valdez, Jr., Edward Rodriguez and Donnie Garduno. Honorary Pallbearers: Johnny Valdez, Joseph Valdez, Larry Valdez, Mildred Valdez, Jannelle Valdez and Rebecca Valdez and all grandchildren and great grandchildren. A Reception will follow burial at Sacred Heart Catholic Parish Hall.
