Gilda Quintana

Mrs. Gilda Quintana, age 86 of Cuarteles, NM. died peacefully on Tuesday November 15, 2011 in Oxnard, CA. She was born in San Pedro, NM. to the late Melecio and Braulia Fresquez. Gilda worked for many years at J.W. Owens then she worked at Peoples until retirement. She was a devoted member of the parish of Iglesia De Santa Cruz De La Canada. She is survived by Husband Benjamin F. Quintana, Son William A. Quintana (Doris)of Meadowview, VA., Son Alvin L.Quintana (Roxanne)of Ridgecrest, CA., , Daughter Phyllis Quintana (Anthony Smith)of Oxnard, CA., grandchildren: Alex and Kevin Quintana and Andrew Smith, brothers: Ben Fresquez (Erma) and Tony Fresquez (Lourdes), Sisters: Amanda Rolfes (Raymond), Amelia Cisneros and Angelina Romero, as well as other relatives. Recitation of the Rosary was held November 21, 2011 at La Iglesia De Santa Cruz De La Canada. The Mass of Christian burial was celebrated November 22, 2011 also at the church, followed by interment at the Holy Cross cemetery.
