Glenn W. Hobbs - dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and friend - passed away peacefully in his home in Abiquiu, New Mexico on Saturday, February 3rd, 2024.
Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Faye Hobbs, and his siblings, Larry Hobbs, Ralph Hobbs, Thelma and Wanda Perry. He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Teresa Hobbs, children; Melody Carter (Jarvis Randall) Veronica Ortega (Randy Ortega), Vincent Hobbs (Lisa Hobbs), Garland Hobbs (Paulette Hobbs), Edward Reyes, his many grandchildren and family members.
Glenn was born on September 2nd, 1939, to Leonard and Faye Hobbs in Eldorado Arkansas but spent most of his life in Northern New Mexico, a place he loved.Glenn was an avid outdoorsman that loved hunting, fishing, gardening, and wouldnever pass up a fast ride on a 4wheeler, a good game of pool or a cold beer at LosCaminos Bar. He was a natural charmer and storyteller, quick-witted and enjoyed making others laugh. Glenn had a long and happy career as a logger for Duke City Lumber, but his biggest impact was in his community. He was loved and known by everyone as Mr. Hobbs. Everyone he met became a friend, he was a kind soul and always made time to help anyone he could.
Glenn’s story is one of dedication, love, and an unwavering commitment to his family and friends. He will be deeply missed, but the seeds he planted in the hearts of those who knew him will continue to grow and flourish for generations to come.
The family would like to thank the staff at Del Corazon hospice and a special thanks to Lynn Jacquez, RN for the dedication and kindness they showed Mr. Hobbs and his family towards the end of his life. Also, thank you to Rivera Funeral Home and all their staff.
