Gonzalo Solano

Gonzalo Solano, age 49 a resident of Chimayo died Friday, November 3, 2017 following a short illness. Gonzalo was born on August 29, 1968. He was preceded in death by his father, Antonio and brother Liborio Solano. He is survived by his mother, Berta Solano, wife Lorraine Solano, brothers, Aaron (Liz), Leonardo (Irma), sisters, Petra (Mike), Gracia(Alfredo), Luz (Lupe), mother-in-law, Belia Garduno. Step-daughers, Lisa Armijo (Floyd), Barbara DeVargas (David Martinez). Grandchildren, Kimberly, Brian and Brandon DeVargas, Francisco, Don and Manny Armijo and a great granddaughter whom he loved dearly, Alyana DeVargas Vigil, and many more relatives and friends. Gonzalo enjoyed riding his ‘Trike’, going to the casino and going on vacations. He was full of life and will be deeply missed and always remembered. Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 9, 2017 from 5PM – 9PM at Rivera Family Funeral Home with a Rosary being prayed at 7PM. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, November 10, 2017 at 10 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church in Chimayo. Burial will follow in Chimayo, NM. Serving the Family as Pall Bearers will be Patrick Vargas, Andre Vigil, Floyd Martinez, Dominic Tafoya, David Martinez, and Aaron Solano.
